IN-DC visits Planet Word Museum

Please join Irish Network DC (IN-DC) on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. for a visit to Planet Word, one of Washington, D.C.'s newest museums, located at 925 13th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20005. You will be greeted by an IN-DC board member just inside the K Street entrance. The museum is located two blocks from the McPherson Square Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines).

Planet Word is a voice-activated museum that offers an immersive language experience. Interactive galleries and exhibits bring words and language to life in a variety of fun ways. In the "Spoken Word" exhibit on the third floor, visitors can explore languages from across the globe. IN-DC visitors may particularly enjoy interacting with the virtual speaker "Hilary" from Ireland to discover cúpla focal (a few words) in Irish.

IN-DC is pleased to offer members complimentary tickets and a reserved, timed entry at 11:00 a.m. IN-DC members will participate in a self-guided, self-paced tour. After the tour, members are invited to gather at 1:15 p.m. at Immigrant Food restaurant, located on the ground floor of the museum.
