Together with the Embassy of Ireland, Irish Network DC is delighted to host Paschal Donohoe, former Irish Government Minister and President of the Eurogroup, and now Managing Director and Chief Knowledge Officer at the World Bank Group, for a wide-ranging conversation on leadership, economics and Ireland’s place in a changing world.

Drawing on a career that has taken him from the private sector and Irish public life to senior leadership at one of the world’s most important international institutions, Paschal will share his perspectives on what makes economies thrive, the lessons Ireland can offer the wider world, and the opportunities and challenges facing economies in the years ahead.

The conversation will explore the forces shaping global development — from technology, AI and skills to investment, innovation and economic resilience — as well as the personal leadership lessons gained from a career spanning national and international public service.

This will be a thoughtful and engaging conversation about Ireland’s global impact, the future of the world economy, and what it takes to turn ideas and knowledge into meaningful change.
