Please join IN-DC as our Speaker Series continues with a presentation and fireside chat with former Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor for Political Engagement, John McCarthy, at Notre Dame Keough School of Global Affairs, located at 1400 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20036.
Currently the Principal at Causeway Strategy Group, John McCarthy has experience gained from the Presidential campaign trail, the halls of Congress, and the West Wing of the White House. At the White House he was one of the top political advisors to the President, responsible for building coalitions and maintaining key relationships with the business community, state and local elected officials, members of Congress, and high-level political stakeholders in all 50 states. He also served as the President's primary liaison to the Irish-American community throughout his administration and campaigns.
He previously was Chief of Staff to Congressman Brendan F. Boyle (D-PA) where he also managed the Congressman's relationships with Irish America. He is a graduate of the Catholic University of America.
