Please Join INDC at the 8pm show on Opening Night, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at our annual visit to The Keegan Theatre’s original holiday tradition, AN IRISH CAROL, which pays homage to the Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol!

Written by Keegan company member Matthew Keenan, AN IRISH CAROL first premiered at The Keegan in 2011 to sold out houses and rave reviews, and it has been a Keegan (and now INDC!) tradition ever since. AN IRISH CAROL follows one evening in the life of David, a wealthy pub owner who has distanced himself from others and lost touch with his own humanity in the interest of self-protection and material success. But on this Christmas Eve — challenged by a voice from the past, provoked by those in the present, and faced with the reality of a lonely future – David’s life may change forever. Featuring a cast of veteran Keegan company members, AN IRISH CAROL is a modern fable, told with the biting humor and incisive candor of its Irish playwright.

The Keegan will welcome the Irish Network DC to our own private lounge area 7:00-7:45 pm on the mezzanine level (with a cash bar available) prior to the 8:00 pm start of the play. You can pick up your ticket from us upstairs; if you cannot make the start time of the performance, we will leave your ticket at will call.

Keegan Theatre is located near the Dupont Circle Metro stops (both Red Line and Orange/Blue/Silver Lines) at 1742 Church St. NW in D.C.

1.) Subscribed Members – $50 per person.

Members may buy a ticket for one additional guest at the member price. Additional non-member guests may purchase a ticket from The Keegan Theatre.
